Facebook is lame. Let's return to blogging!
Maybe you have noticed that Facebook is getting kind of lame. I noticed it. Yet, I find that I still spend the same amount of time on it, probably even more. It's a similar kind of relationship to food that is unsatisfying. Before just saying, walk "away from the plate computer", which is good advice, let us examine some other factors.
Walking away can be a bit challenging if checking Facebook has become a habit. It can be very difficult if it has been fulfilling a need. Perhaps, it is lame because it is not feeding the need anymore.
This brings me to the other factor: stages of development. Another reason (or another way of stating the previous ) that Facebook is getting lame, is that our relationship with it has grown. We were happy to have communication with friends, joyed at getting attention on our walls, and thrilled to find old friends. Now what? Like most relationships, you get to the point where you have to choose to use the opportunity to grow into new and deeper stages or play Mafia Wars.
